I am an introvert by nature. So, I guess you could say that my paintings are my mouthpiece to the world. What I find hard to say face to face I find easier to say in a painting. The audience can pick or choose what they wish from the work, and this is often the reason why I leave most of works untitled. Unless the title comes to me while producing the work there is no reason to force a title onto a work.
Being an introvert in today's world is not easy. Where who's the loudest seem to get their message across. Whereas those of us who prefer to live a quieter life or often left in the dark. Being in the dark is not always that bad as it allows you the space to do your own thing unnoticed by the crowd.
Sooner or later, I do find I need some kind of connection. Creating art is a wonderful way to connect to the world. I think it is one of the main reasons that I create. I crave that connection, that understanding. Its ok if most people do not understand the work, the ones that do don't need an explanation. The work speaks for itself and when you are an introvert that is the greatest gift because you don't need to say anything.
